1st Annual WNY Lacrosse for Kids - The Blindmen & Criers Golf Tournament (sponsored by the NFLOA)
This golf tournament was spearheaded by the NFLOA (Niagara Frontier Lacrosse Officials Association) in the spirit of of coming together with the WNY larosse coaches to not only help our lacrosse community in need, but to "bury the hatchet".
As in any lacrosse season referees and coaches don't always see eye to eye when judgements and calls must be made. Each referee and coach has the never ending task of improving and maintaining their understanding and knowledge to enhance the level of our regions game. This tournament will help us bury any hatchet and move forward from any grudges from the past season. Also, this tournament will allow us to raise money for our charity as well as maintain the positive spirit between referees and coaches.
The WNY officials (the blind men) & the WNY coaches (the criers) will play side by side to raise money for our local lacrosse families in need and bury the hatchet from the the season before. This is a wonderful opportunity for all involved to have a fun day of golf and raise money for the WNY Lacrosse for Kids fund.
